Monitoring samples of soil is an important part of ensuring we follow the recommended biological guidelines, as set out by the NZWWA 2003. Below you can find our lab results to show that Ecocast meet and far exceed the testing guidelines to allow for the safe application of vermicast.
Biosolids Guidelines doucment NZWWA 2003
The Guidelines for the safe application of Biosolids to land in New Zealand were produced by Water New Zealand in conjunction with the Ministry for the Environment in August 2003. The project was a joint initiative of the wastewater industry, central and local government and other key stakeholders. The guidelines contain information and recommendations to assist producer dischargers and regulators (Regional Councils) to manage the discharge of biosolids to land in New Zealand.
